After verification by Forbes World Records Certification(FWRC, UK), he successfully set a world record for the “World's Longest-Serving Indian Government Employee”.

Mr. Anjani Kishore Puppala was born in Kankipadu, Visakhapatnam, into a humble middle-class family as the youngest of nine siblings, with one elder brother and seven elder sisters. With the support of his elder brother, Mr. P. V. Sreenivasa Rao, he secured a clerk position in the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) at the age of 18. While working, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vivek Vardhani Night College, Hyderabad.

Mr. Puppala served in the CWC for 42 consecutive years (1969–2011). Due to low wages during his early years, he worked part-time as a tutor from 6–9 AM and 6–9 PM, cycling from house to house, before attending his regular office duty from 10 AM to 5 PM. He fondly referred to his bicycle as his “aeroplane.”
For decades, he maintained a routine of working up to 18 hours a day. In recognition of his dedication and contributions, an archway was constructed in his honour on Road No. 6, Vanasthali Hills, Hyderabad. A disciplined, honest teetotaller throughout his life, his guiding motto has always been: “Work honestly, leaving the results to God.”
